It’s a stretch to call it “fly fishing” for pike and muskies. Huge rods, heavy lines, chihuahua-sized flies, and metal leaders. If you’re ready to chase the fish of 10,000 casts, we’re here to teach you what you need to know!

Ready to take your fishing further? The Frequent Fisher Club gives you free, unlimited access to all 301-level classes plus eight exclusive member benefits, including discounts on trips and courses, early and priority access, member-only fishing opportunities, expert insights, and a connected network of anglers focused on fishing for joy, confidence, and community.
These are the apex predators found in the waters of Minnesota and Wisconsin. Ferocious predators, pike and muskies are steeped in superstition. We’ll teach you how to target them and rig your fly gear to break down some of the mystic of these fish.
After taking this 3hr class, you’ll have enough knowledge to be dangerous on the water. We’ll teach you about the rods, sinking lines, leaders, and how to tie everything together. We’ll go in-depth on these fishes’ biology, fly selection, and how to read water to find them. Then we’ll head to the water to practice casting and figure-8’ing with musky gear.
This class is best for intermediate-advanced anglers who have a solid foundation in fly fishing and can fish independently. This class will take place at our bass camp cabin in Pine City, MN, unless conditions dictate we go elsewhere. Equipment will be provided for this course, feel free to bring your personal gear and we can help you set everything up. We will send a detailed supply list prior to the class.
