Are you curious about urban fly fishing? Look no further than our Fly Fishing 301- Downtown Class! Urban fly fishing is not only one of the most fun things you can do, it’s also the most accessible fishing you can do locally with the potential to catch fish in excess of 10-20 pounds!

During this 3 hour class, we’ll show you where to find good fishing spots in downtown Minneapolis, teach you different techniques to catch many different fish species, and explore some truly unique places along the Mississippi River.
We’ll meet at Father Hennepin Bluffs Park in Minneapolis, MN, and start fishing under the iconic Stone Arch Bridge. Here we’ll teach you techniques to catch carp, smallmouth bass, and even catfish on the fly. Then we’ll head to another area to try for some bigmouth buffalo on the surface, and freshwater drum.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own equipment including 6-8wt rods, flies, and waders. If you need to borrow a rod, we can supply one for you. We’ll send a detailed supply list before the class. Participants 16yo+ will need to have a MN fishing license.
$100/person. Class runs from 9am-noon.

Policies:
-Fishing For All classes and events are nonrefundable, but can be transferred to other available options.
-Fishing For All does not collect your reservation or payment for programs with partner organizations, like our “Learn How to Ice Fish” programs. The partner organization will take your reservation and payment, and you are subject to their policies.
-Youth Summer Camp deposits are nonrefundable within 30 days of camp start date. They can be transferred to other available options. The remainder will be auto-collected on the 1st day of the camp. Once camp has started, this amount is nonrefundable and nontransferable.
-All class, event, and camp prices are subject to a 3% credit card processing fee and a $2/person booking fee. These costs are nonrefundable, but can be transferred with your deposit to another available option.
