Youth Epic Fishing Camp!

For kids who live for fishing—and are ready to go far beyond the dock.

For Kids Ages 10–15

Epic Fishing Camp is a four-day, high-energy fishing adventure built for young anglers who already love to fish and want more: more water, more species, more techniques, and more confidence. This isn’t a sit-and-wait bobber camp. It’s a hands-on, on-the-move experience designed to turn curious kids into capable, independent anglers.

Based out of Pine City, Minnesota, campers explore a variety of rivers and lakes while learning how to fish like real anglers—reading water, choosing the right tackle, and adapting to different species and conditions.

What Kids Will Do

Every day brings a new kind of fishing and a new challenge. Campers will rotate through multiple styles of fishing so they learn how to adapt and succeed in different environments.

They’ll fish from shore for hard-fighting catfish and carp on the St. Croix River, wade rivers and streams while fly fishing and casting lures for bass, pike, and walleye, and paddle fish from small watercraft on local lakes targeting bass and other warm-water species. Along the way, they’ll learn how to move safely through water, position themselves for better casts, and work as a team to land big fish.

This variety is what makes Epic Fishing Camp special. Kids don’t just catch fish—they learn how to think like anglers.

What They’ll Learn

Campers build real fishing skills they can use for the rest of their lives. Instruction is woven into every day on the water so kids learn by doing, not sitting in a classroom.

They’ll learn how to rig rods for different types of fishing, choose the right baits and lures for different species, and tie essential fishing knots. They’ll practice casting with both spinning and fly gear, learn how to read water to find fish, and understand why certain spots and structures hold fish.

They’ll also learn fish identification, basic fish biology, safe fish handling, and how to land, unhook, and release or keep fish responsibly. By the end of camp, kids leave with the confidence to walk up to a new lake or river and know how to get started.

Gear Included

Kids are welcome to bring their own fishing gear, but it’s not required. We provide rods, reels, tackle, and flies so every camper has what they need to succeed. Our goal is to remove barriers and let kids focus on learning, fishing, and having fun.

Experienced Instructors

Epic Fishing Camp is led by experienced instructors who know how to teach kids while keeping things exciting and safe. We focus on small groups so every camper gets personal attention, coaching, and support. Whether a kid is already landing big fish or just starting to branch out from basic fishing, we meet them where they are and help them grow.

Location & Daily Flow

Campers meet at pre-determined locations and head out each day to some of the best nearby fishing spots. We move between rivers, shorelines, and lakes to take advantage of changing conditions and give kids the best chance to fish well.

Camp runs in the mornings, making it easy to fit into family schedules while keeping kids energized and focused on the water.

Who This Camp Is For

Epic Fishing Camp is designed for kids ages 10–15 who already enjoy fishing and want to go deeper. If your child is bored of casting off docks, loves being outside, and wants to learn how to catch more and bigger fish, this camp was built for them.

Small Group, Big Experience

To keep the experience high-quality and hands-on, enrollment is limited to a small group of campers. This allows instructors to spend real time with each kid, adapt to their skill level, and create a supportive, fun learning environment.

Epic Fishing Camp is where young anglers build real skills, catch incredible fish, and start their journey toward a lifetime of fishing adventure.
