In addition to fly fishing trips and fishing classes, we also offer guided spin fishing opportunities that highlight the warmwater rivers and unique species found around MSP.
Ice Fishing

Fishing isn’t just a summer activity! Once our lakes freeze over, we can venture out and catch fish through the ice. We will find a lake near you in the seven-county area around MSP. We will show you how to use the equipment, find/understand where the fish live in winter, and practice reeling in crappies, bluegills, and bass. All equipment is provided, including Vexilar fish finders, an 8-person Clam pop-up shelter, and a propane heater. Trips available December-March, depending on ice conditions. Prices for groups of up to 4: 2.5hrs- $250, 4hr- $350, 6hr- $450. $25 each additional person. Max group size is 8. The best fishing is often after dark in the winter!
Big River Bank Fishing-

We love chasing catfish, smallmouth carp, and all the other roughfish found in our big rivers! Between the Mississippi River and its tributaries within 40 mins of MSP, there is a lot of superb roughfish territory around us. Our main species here are channel catfish, carp, and suckers, but we often catch smallmouth bass, walleye, and northern pike as well. Our trips are land-based, setting up camp and poles on a sand bar or the riverbank. We can light a campfire, eat some food, learn about river ecology, and wait for the big ones to bite! All fishing equipment and bait is provided, this trip is a great summer family activity. Just bring a lawn chair! We will teach you everything from finding good fishing spots, to rigging your poles, to fighting in the big ones! Good chances to also catch freshwater drum, bass, pike, and other cool fish species. Prices for up to 4 people- 2.5hr $200, 4hr $300, 6hrs $400. Day hours (8am-6pm) Night Hours- the big catfish and carp are nocturnal! (7pm-1am)
